Startup Onramp is a training and mentoring program for first-time startup founders, launched in Brisbane by experienced startup mentor and investor Colin Kinner. It gives new and aspiring founders the skills and guidance they need to launch a globally scalable startup.

6 Degrees will be delivering this program in Coffs Harbour to a cohort of 6-12 founders starting in September 2018.

The program comprises 12 weekly workshops following a logical progression from idea validation to product development, customer acquisition, investment and growth. The workshops are delivered by the Program Facilitator and supported by guest presenters from the local region (including entrepreneurs, investors and subject matter experts) who also assist with mentoring of the teams.

The program culminates in a pitch night at the end of the program at which all startups present.

It is expected that at the end of the program founders will:

  • have defined their market offering;
  • have validated their ideas with the market and experts;
  • improve their start-up skills and understanding of the startup landscape;
  • develop a viable business model with revenue streams;
  • be able to pitch to gain co-founders, investors or enter an accelerator program;
  • be ready to access grants such as the Jobs for NSW MVP grant;
  • be capable of entering the Startup Coffs Coast 2019 Pitch Comp; and
  • pitch in relevant competitions or to funders outside the region.

6 Degrees will be running workshops for founders to develop their business model canvas for the application process. Sign up to the 6 Degrees newsletter to receive updates.
